IT Project Portfolio Manager
March 2005 to May 2006
[Read testimonials from my supervisors and colleagues]

My primary responsibilities during the off-season were to manage a number of large IT projects --usually those that involved multiple key partners and/or vendors. In 2005 this included implementing MasterCard PayPass RFID card readers throughout the FedExField point-of-sale system, running a high-definition signal to and throughout FedExField and integrating that with over 100 new HDTV's, putting multi-media content on the Redskins.com website, creating the first of its kind Windows XP Media Center Edition application for a professional sports team, and putting a document imaging system in place for the Ticketing department.

In 2006 I was in charge of a CRM implementation and a conversion to Sharepoint.

During the season I would continue to manage some minor IT projects as well as maintain other systems but my primary responsibility became managing the point-of-sale system throughout FedEx Field. This equated to around 450 devices of several varieties on six floors routed to six network closets used by mostly temporary workers who served nearly 100,000 people a game and enabled millions of dollars of revenue.

When I was hired, the pre-game preparation was essentially non existent due to severe resource constraints. Vendors were complaining of terminals going down repeatedly, lost sales, and very frustrated employees and fans. I created a very comprehensive and methodical set of processes, checklists, test scripts, and quarter-by-quarter "game plans" for employees, vendors, and contractors of who will be where doing what when and how to handle various scenarios. As a result, in less than season, our up-time and responsiveness became very consistent and the satisfaction of our vendors and fans went up commensurately.
